A leading company is seeking an Inventory Receiver to manage and verify inventory shipments, communicate with staff, and maintain an organized workspace. Description
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for accurately receiving inventory purchase orders into the computer system, verifying shipping paperwork, preparing product for shipping, loading and unloading deliveries from trucks, and placing them in the proper staging area.
Essential Job Functions:
• Receive purchase orders into the computer system
• Communicate with internal staff, verbally and in writing, concerning the status of inventory receipts.
• Perform filing Duties
• Operate Microsoft Office Software
• Order picking when needed.
• Prepare shipments
• Prepare Inventory for shipping by shrink wrapping or banding
• Verify shipping paperwork – pack lists, freight bill, shipping labels, etc.
• Tag received inventory and identify as ready for fulfillment or storage
• Check in inventory
• Verify packing slips
• Load/Unload trucks
• Maintain cleanliness in receiving area in a neat and orderly manner/keep work organized
• Any other tasks as required fulfilling SG Homecare needs.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
