Job summary

Wolter, Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our Sugar Grove, IL branch.

This role handles incoming and outgoing shipments through the parts warehouse and supports the parts department by moving items in and out of the building. Responsibilities include verifying shipments against POs, attaching packing slips, packaging and shipping via UPS, FedEx, or eShipping, and assisting with stock pulls and occasional local deliveries.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service orientation.
• Strong computer proficiency (UPS system a plus).
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated team player.
• Must have current material handling Operator’s License (we will certify on our equipment).
• Must have valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle record.
• Commitment to company vision and mission.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Note backorders, damages, or incorrect items on paperwork.
• Attach packing slips to POs and forward to proper person.
• Package and prepare outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, or eShipping.
• Assist parts staff by pulling stock items from shelf or system.
• Store incoming stock in designated locations.
• Monitor field tech bins and ship items to drop points.
• Review open PO file for aged orders and determine status.
• Maintain housekeeping in the parts warehouse.
• Back up to parts driver for local deliveries or pickups.
• May assist unloading trucks at dock.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Regional Parts Mgr.

We are actively seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our rapidly growing team at our Sugar Grove, IL branch location. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments through the parts warehouse, supporting our parts department and other departments by handling the movement of parts and other items in and out of our building.

Position Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders.
  • Note if items are backordered on paperwork
  • Note if incorrect or damaged items received on paperwork
  • Attach packing slips to PO’s and forward to proper person
• Package and prepare outgoing shipments, using method of shipment appropriate to needs (UPS, FedEx, eShipping, etc.).
• Assist parts staff by pulling stock items for orders (from shelf or Hanel system) – distribute or ship as appropriate.
• Put parts stock orders away (on shelf or in Hanel) as received.
• Monitor field tech bins and ship items in bins to drop points as appropriate.
• Periodically review open PO file for aged orders, determine whether order is still pending.
• Maintain housekeeping in parts warehouse area.
• Assist with parts physical inventory, as assigned by Parts Mgr.
• Back up to parts driver – make local deliveries or pick ups, if needed.
• May need to assist unloading trucks as deliveries come to our dock.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned by Regional Parts Mgr.

Essential skills and experience:
