Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk at our Rushville, Indiana location. You will be responsible for completing all shipping/receiving transactions and ensuring accuracy, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to meet customer requirements.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED (or 4 years of relevant experience) and familiarity with Oracle and Microsoft Office. Overtime as needed and a strong focus on safety are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 4 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in shipping/receiving operations preferred.
• Overtime availability required.
• Oracle experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Complete all shipping/receiving transactions accurately and promptly.
• Solve shipping/receiving issues efficiently.
• Manage inventory of shipping supplies and coordinate with vendors.
• Interact with external customers and vendors regarding inquiries.
• Maintain safety standards and assist with special customer requests.
• Support Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement.

What's in it for you:

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will be responsible for completing all shipping/receiving transactions for the Rushville, Indiana location.

What you will do:

• Responsible for completing all shipping/receiving transactions and reporting in a timely and efficient manner.
• Efficient problem solving when shipping/receiving issues arise.
• Manage inventory of all shipping supplies as well as coordination with vendors.
• Responsible for working with external customers and vendors as it relates to customer service inquiries.
• Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements.
• Manage scrap recycling processes including managing relationship with recycling center and maintaining record keeping.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.
• Assist Supervisor/Manager on special customer requests, and investigation of customer service inquiries to ensure they are properly handled and resolved.
• Leverage and utilize the system and tools created for Shipping/Receiving Supports the Quality Management Systems (QMS) by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives.
• Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Identifies any PO issues and works with team on corrective actions.
• Manages bin locations including optimization
• Responsible for identifying and notifying material planners of when to reorder visually managed items in the stockroom.
• Manages process of transferring material back and forth between the plant and offsite warehouse.
• Maintain safety standards.
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

What you will bring:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) with relevant work experience preferred.
• In lieu of a diploma or equivalent, must have at least 4 years relevant work experience.
• Required to work overtime when needed.
• Oracle experience preferred.
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (ex. Outlook, Excel).

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $25.00
