Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a Shipping/Receiving associate to support shipment of goods and inbound materials across production and storage operations. The role requires coordinating carriers, maintaining packing/shipping materials, and ensuring timely, accurate receipt and dispatch of orders.

The position emphasizes clear written and verbal communication, adherence to GMPs, and teamwork in a production/warehouse environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and/or 1+ year experience in warehouse production.
• Ability to read/write English, follow instructions, and perform simple math.
• Familiarity with packing slips, entering correct information into the computer, and receiving goods into POs.
• Familiarity with WMS systems (SAP) and related processes.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Arrange pickup by the carrier specified on the purchase order via the shipping instructions.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
• Maintain adequate shipping materials stock at all times.
• Keep work area and equipment clean; follow safety regulations.
• Coordinate product completion and shipments on a timely basis.
• Maintain professional email/phone communication with clients.
• Maintain professional standards with clients.
• Work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Shipping/Receiving Manager.
• Follow GMPs and ensure quality in work and product.

About The Opportunity

Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to the customer base.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible to make arrangements for pickup by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions


• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor


• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times


• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations


• Responsible for coordination of product completion and shipments and shipments on a timely basis


• Responsible to maintain a professional communication level via email and phone


• Maintain a professional level with the client


• Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Shipping/Receiving Manager


• Responsible for following and complying with Company GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintaining quality work and product

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED and/or one or more years of experience in warehouse production

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math


• Ability to become familiar with and be able to interpret packing slips, enter correct information into the computer, and acknowledge receipt of goods into the purchase order


• Ability to understand and use all applicable aspects of WMS (SAP)


• Ability to work with plant management for required results


• Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment


• Ability to work in a team environment


• Microsoft Office, SAP

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting


• Frequent walking and standing required


• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.


• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season
