Base pay range

$41,000.00/yr - $45,000.00/yr

Position Description

Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties:

• Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determines method of shipment. Examines shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments and examines outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

While performing duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, and hear. Occasionally, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is required. Employees must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work involves proximity to moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, electrical shocks, outside weather, fumes, airborne particles, and extreme heat. Noise levels are usually moderate. PPE must be worn as required.
