Job summary

Bodycote plc is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk based in Laconia, NH. The role supports heat treatment operations under the Production Manager, ensuring accurate handling of customer orders and timely shipments, with a 7am–3:30pm schedule and 40+ hours weekly.

Eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus, with safety-focused duties and opportunities to contribute to a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in computer applications including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.
• Some shipping experience desired.
• Must obtain forklift certification.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains shipping and receiving area as needed.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks; schedules shipments with UPS and FedEx.
• Interacts with customers to clarify discrepancies and schedules.
• Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc.

Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.

Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.

Summary:

Based in Laconia, NH the Shipping/Receiving Clerk will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Production Manager to meet customer specifications including assisting other employees as needed.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

• Maintains shipping and receiving area as needed.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Schedules truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx as needed.
• Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate discrepancies and schedules.
• Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc.
• Brings any irregularities or other discrepancies/concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
