Job summary

Malones CNC is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to handle packaging and shipment of products, as well as receiving goods and entering counts into the ERP system.

The role requires attention to detail, accurate counting, and basic math. A valid driver’s license and forklift experience are preferred, with prior military packaging background a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• ERP system experience is a plus.
• Prior military packaging experience is a plus.
• Experience with shipping software/databases.
• Prior shipping/receiving experience.
• Accurate counting and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and identify military packaging codes and contract specs.
• Packaging and shipping of customer orders.
• Receiving in goods and services; count and enter into ERP.
• Identify and correct errors on packing slips.
• Deliver items to specified locations; drive as needed.
• Operate forklift safely.
• Maintain packaging supply inventory.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Drive company vehicles to expedite shipping.

This position will be responsible for packaging and shipment of product to customers as well as receiving in all goods & services. This person will be able to follow instructions as well as proven skills to multitask.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret and Identify Military Packaging Codes and Other Contract Specifications
• Packaging & shipping of customer orders (Packaging & Shipping Process)
• Receiving in all goods and services by accurately counting (manually or by weigh scale) & entering that count into Job Boss (PO Receiving Process)
• Identify and assist in correcting errors on packing slips
• Delivery of items to specified locations or personnel
• Safe operation of forklift
• Make rubber stamps
• Conduct part marking as specified per Traveler
• Manage Packaging Supply Inventory
• Assist department in maintaining clean and orderly work area
• Performs other job duties as assigned
• Drive company or other vehicles as needed to expedite shipping

Education, Skills & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
• ERP system experience- Previous ERP experience a plus
• Prior Military packaging experience would be a plus
• Prior use of shipping software/databases
• Prior shipping/receiving experience
• Accurate counting
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions, and decimals.
• Ability to use scales/weights and measures.
• Ability to drive a forklift (previous forklift experience will be a plus)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills- (Good Customer Service mindset & skills)
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to perform with little supervision
• Excellent previous attendance records
• Reliable, organized, focused and detail oriented

Work Environment

The plant is a machining environment; therefore, you may be required to wear respiratory protection due to air borne particles, chemicals & solvents depending on position.

Safety glasses are required at all times in production areas. OSHA regulations are followed
