Job summary

Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation seeks a materials handler responsible for the timely receipt of incoming materials and shipment of goods to outside services and customers. The role supports manufacturing objectives through safe, efficient, quality, and cost-conscious actions.

You will operate forklifts or related equipment, maintain inventory levels, and ensure accurate ERP transactions. Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma.
• Associate degree or post high school education desirable.
• Several years of forklift operation, inventory control, and capital goods manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift, manlift, or crane to pick and ship parts and equipment.
• Monitor Open / Due Orders Report to ensure on-time order fulfillment.
• Ensure Safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed and minimize risk exposure.
• Complete transactions within Visual operating system for all material and goods movements.
• Maintain stocking levels for shipping materials.
• Ensure goods are properly packaged, labeled, and secured for safe arrival at destination.
• Utilize preferred shipment method and carrier based upon ASEC and/or customer preference.
• Coordinate outside service requirements with Purchasing and Department responsible for production and processes Work Order routings accordingly.
• Process material received into inventory and updates locations either manually or through use of barcoding system.
• Maintain work area in a clean and well organized fashion.
• Actively seek information to further product knowledge and actively participate in training and development opportunities.
• Other duties as necessary to support the manufacturing process.

Ensures Operations objectives are met with regard to Safety, efficiency, quality, and cost. Incumbent supports all Apache business objectives through interactions with customers, suppliers, and all associates.

Position responsibilities:
