Job summary

Coastal Logistics Group in Savannah, GA is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate in the Paper Warehouse to efficiently process and manage large paper rolls, oversee inbound and outbound shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy.

You will follow safety guidelines, complete shipping documents, and collaborate with team members; the schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with potential overtime. Background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role, preferably with large paper rolls or similar materials.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to solve problems and work with team members to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and verify incoming large paper rolls for accuracy and quality.
• Prepare and ship outgoing orders with proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain inventory records and conduct regular counts and audits.
• Monitor material quality and report issues to supervisor.
• Complete shipping/receiving documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, logs).
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE as required.
• Identify and resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies with team.
• Collaborate with team and other departments to ensure timely operations.
• Perform additional warehouse tasks as needed by supervisor.

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate, Paper Department, is responsible for the efficient processing and management of large paper rolls within the warehouse. This role involves overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring safe practices to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving Shipments: Inspect and verify incoming shipments of large paper rolls for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies or damages.
• Shipping Orders: Prepare outgoing shipments of large paper rolls, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and proper labeling.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for large paper rolls, conducting regular counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Quality Control: Monitor the condition of materials and report any quality issues or damages to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory logs.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies, collaborating with team members and supervisors as necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and efficient shipping and receiving operations.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role, particularly with large paper rolls or similar materials, is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good communication skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Employees will be walking, bending, and potential lifting.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.

Work Environment:

• Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.
• Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekend.

Work Schedule:

• Days: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
