Job summary

Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking a Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. You will help coordinate loads and ensure timely movement of goods in a safe, organized environment.

You will work Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime and weekend availability as needed. Prior dock experience and familiarity with scanners or WMS are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and distributing orders.
• Read and interpret orders to determine items to be moved and shipped.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform tasks safely and compliantly.
• Assemble products as needed and participate in cycle counts and inventory.
• Verify load data and confirm delivery status with drivers.
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure on-time arrivals.
• Support additional tasks to assist the team as needed.

Job description

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and load coordination. This role ensures the accurate and timely movement of goods while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing
• Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to ensure accessibility for employees and customers
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; perform all tasks in a safe and compliant manner
• Assemble products as needed and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory processes
• Take check calls from drivers to confirm delivery status; verify and validate load data prior to marking loads as delivered for accounting accuracy
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure shipments arrive on time and in good condition
• Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the team.

• Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.
