Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment is seeking a parts handler responsible for receiving and shipping parts, forklift operation, and maintaining organized storage areas. You will verify shipments, route items efficiently, and support inventory accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience with heavy truck parts or warehouse settings, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing of shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience with heavy duty truck parts or warehouse.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Strong attention to details and urgency in shipping parts.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Compare counts, weights and items against bills of lading and packing lists.
• Determine best shipment method using knowledge of routes and rates.
• Unpack, inspect, and document discrepancies with suppliers.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move shipments to storage or work area.
• Maintain bin locations and keep shelves clean and organized.
• Collaborate with inventory and warranty staff on routing and returns.

Must be able to operate heavy equipment, such as a forklift. Perform duties necessary for the smooth operation of the parts department.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESVerify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.Compares information such as counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, or other records.Determines best method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify discrepancy.Operates forklift truck or uses hand truck to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.Changes bin locations on parts when moving from one location to another.Works closely with inventory clerk to assure that all new parts have correct bin locations.Keeps shelves and stock bins clean and in proper order.Keeps warehouse swept and clean.Works closely with warranty clerk to assure proper routing and packing of warranty parts.Works closely with inventory clerk to assure proper routing of core returns.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma requiredMinimum 2 years experience with heavy duty truck parts, automotive parts, or retail warehousing.Must be able to read and write English.Recognize the need for urgency in shipping parts, must pay attention to details.
