Job summary

AdvantaStaff is hiring a Shipping Receiving Clerk in the Greater Richmond area. The role requires prioritizing work orders, coordinating with supervisors to expedite parts, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Training and potential for benefits exist after eligibility is met.

The candidate will operate forklifts and RF scanners, process shipments, and support receiving and packing activities as part of a manufacturing-focused team.

Qualifications

• Problem solving skills required.
• Ability to operate order picker, reach truck and sit-down forklift.
• Basic math skills and data entry experience.
• Must lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Identify differences between manufactured and purchased parts.
• Apply reasoning and judgment to tasks.
• Coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Picks and pulls orders from various locations within the plant.
• Record materials consumed on orders via RF Smart or desktop.
• Pack orders for small package or LTL shipments following procedures.
• Operate RF Scanner Gun or desktop to access information.
• Count and verify stock; assist in receiving and put-away.
• Back up supervisor as needed and train new employees.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely delivery.
