Job summary

InterMetro Industries, a global leader in storage solutions, seeks a full-time Shipping/Receiving associate for its Wilkes-Barre, PA Distribution Center. 1st shift is 7:00 a.m.

– 3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with a 400-hour probationary period and potential shift changes within a seniority-based bargaining unit. Responsibilities include receiving, inventory control, picking, loading, labeling, using a computer for location lookups, and ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive products into the distribution center by unloading carriers and inventorying goods.
• Assist with inventory management and report discrepancies.
• Pick products based on orders and transport to loading or staging areas.
• Load carriers and containers; handle non-palletized items by hand or with equipment.
• Label orders, locate products in systems, and inspect packaging quality.
• Meet production and quality standards and complete forklift certification.
• Maintain cleanliness and regular attendance in a team setting.
