Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Corporation in New York is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate for the first shift. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Familiar with IS09001, AS9100, Nadcap and Quality Management Systems.
• Experienced forklift truck operator preferred; factory-related experience preferred.
• Will train if necessary.
• Position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing; frequent lifting of items over 50 pounds.

• Receive incoming goods, confirm accuracy and route appropriately to shop floor.
• Assures all quality control documents are complete and included in outgoing shipments.
• Ensures materials shipped and received are verified against pertinent documentation.
• Responsible for timely processing of expedited deliveries.
• Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to safety practices.
• Safely operates equipment including forklift and other required equipment.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

Position Summary:

The shipping and receiving operator position verify and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment or internal processing by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
