Job summary

Schaeffer Manufacturing, a family-owned company in the St. Louis Soulard neighborhood, is seeking a FT Shipping & Receiving Associate for 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm).

Responsibilities include filling orders, managing FIFO workflow, communicating stock needs, coordinating shipping schedules with supervision, and maintaining accurate paperwork and safety practices. The role emphasizes quality control coordination and clean, organized work areas.

Responsibilities

• Fill non-stock (special fill) and stock items per production list
• Work through Production List in FIFO and determine what needs to be filled
• Communicate out of stock products to Blenders
• Discuss with the supervisor/team daily to determine shipping schedule and order prioritization
• Provide samples to Quality Control if requested and receive Quality Control results
• Fill all necessary containers to complete products as required by Bill of Lading and assembly build in NetSuite BIN appropriately
• Communicate ETS of order inquiries
• Monitor container component stock levels and inform supervisor if low
• Fill out all paperwork completely and accurately
• Report any spills or leaks that could cause a potential accident or affect the environment
• Keep work area clean
