Job summary

Fabric Development Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate for our Quakertown, PA site. You will handle raw materials, inspect shipments, and prepare products for shipment in the Shipping / Receiving Department.

The role requires strong attention to detail, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A forklift certification is preferred. First shift, Monday through Friday, with safety and efficiency emphasized.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect raw materials into inventory and verify quantities and types.
• Move materials to correct locations in the plant.
• Inspect and box finished goods; place into finished inventory.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment and schedule pickups with carriers.
• Perform safety checks and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Shipping / Receiving Associate – This position receives raw materials and ships finished goods. The position is located in the Shipping / Receiving Department.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Tasks and Work Activities

• Receive and inspect raw materials into Inventory, verify that quantities received and material type are correct, label material accordingly
• Move raw materials to appropriate location in plant
• Inspect / Box finished goods as produced, put into finished inventory
• Off loom inspection of finished goods, cutting rolls into specific lengths
• Schedule shipping pick-ups with truckers or UPS
• Prepare finished goods for shipment
• Perform visual inspections of work area to assure that area is safe
• Communicating with Supervisors – Providing necessary information to supervisors regarding any issues regarding the raw materials, or finished goods or shipping instructions
• Other duties as required by management
