Job summary

Custom Staffing has partnered with a local manufacturing company in Bluffton, OH to add a Shipping/Receiving Associate to the team. This is a temp-to-hire role offering a night shift from 10:50pm to 7:10am with a pay rate of $19.50 plus a $1 shift differential and weekly pay.

Responsibilities include operating powered industrial trucks, receiving materials, loading trucks, data entry, picking/packing, and ensuring accurate paperwork. Safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Pass all Power Industrial Testing requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently.
• Committed to safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, tug and order picker.
• Receive materials and load trucks; prepare shippers.
• Confirm receipts and file discrepancy reports when needed.
• Enter data into the computer system accurately.
• Pick orders, scan shipments, and print labels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Shipping/Receiving Associate

Hours: 10:50pm - 7:10am

Key Responsibilities

• Operate all types of powered industrial trucks (forklift, reach truck, tug and order picker)
• Receive materials, load trucks and prepare shippers
• Confirm receipts and prepare discrepancy report, if necessary
• Basic computer skills as you will be entering information into the system
• Pick orders, scan shipments, print labels
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to access all processes for parts and pick-up. The associate frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors in a moderately noisy environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. The associate must lift and/or move all parts up to 40 pounds. Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull and reach. The associate will wear a safety harness if lifted into the air.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education:High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Work Schedule: Must be flexible to support manufacturing weekend production.
• Experience:One or more years of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Testing: Pass all Power Industrial Testing
• Team Environment: demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Communication:Good written and verbal skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Work Ethic:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset.
