Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Assistant in Newburyport, MA. On-site 100%, you will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain records, and support warehouse operations.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1–2 years in warehouse/shipping, and compliance with ITAR/EAR. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are essential in this fast-paced aerospace environment.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or related experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving activities including packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for transport.
• Maintain accurate records of materials and transactions in warehouse systems.
• Move parts, supplies, and finished goods between production areas, shipping, and storage.
• Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers efficiently.
• Stock inventory in designated areas of the facility.
• Operate ERP systems and other warehouse equipment to fulfill orders accurately.
• Coordinate with team members and schedules to ensure timely job completion for in-house operations and outside process operations.
• Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities of products.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping & Receiving Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in our logistics operations, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately processed, properly identified, and efficiently distributed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all work in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE and following safety guidelines for the assigned task.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities including packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for transport.
• Maintain accurate records of materials and transactions in warehouse systems.
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe in compliance with company standards.
• Move parts, supplies, and finished goods between production areas, shipping, and storage.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Operate material handling equipment (with training/certification provided as needed).
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
• Provide general support to warehouse and production teams as needed.
• Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers efficiently.
• Stock inventory in designated areas of the facility.
• Operate ERP systems and other warehouse equipment to fulfill orders accurately.
• Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring all records are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with team members and schedules to ensure timely job completion for in-house operations and outside process operations.
• Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities of products.
• Contact suppliers for product status and estimated shipment dates.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or related experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new tasks.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory systems.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
