RR Donnelley & Sons in San Antonio is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate for 1st shift. You will handle the preparation and shipment of samples, components and finished products via FedEx, UPS, USPS and similar carriers, while maintaining necessary documentation and packing according to specifications.

You may operate scales and hand tools, move materials with hand trucks, and occasionally run a forklift. The role requires lifting up to 45 pounds and standing 8 hours daily.

Job Description

RRD San Antonio is hiring for a Shipping & Receiving position on 1st shift:

• Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components and finished products mailed primarily through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS or other similar carrier.
• Maintain necessary files and documentation.
• Utilizes small hand tools and operate scales, metering machines, etc. and primarily use hand trucks to move materials around.
• Typical shipping activities include: checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packing goods for shipment according to specifications, preparing bills of lading, posting weight and shipping charges and attach information and shipping instructions on to boxes.
• May occasionally perform activities related to the receiving materials such as unpacking of goods; checking against bills of lading, packing slips, etc., identification and quantity; maintaining records of goods received; rejects damaged, excess or misdirected goods, routes material to inspection, stores or other destinations.
• May require operation of a forklift truck.

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.00 - $22.15 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
