Job summary

Wabash is hiring a Shipper and Receiver to operate in our Georgia facility. You will load/unload trucks with a forklift, pull and prepare parts for orders, and ship to customers in a timely manner.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to read orders, and strong organizational abilities. Responsibilities include preparing shop orders, packing, labeling, and coordinating with carriers like FedEx and UPS.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is required.

• AS400 experience is a plus.

• DOT physical clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Identify parts by reading labels and pull parts.
• Prepare parts orders for shop.
• Load LTL semi-trailers using a forklift.
• Load and unload truck bodies.
• Work independently.
• Break down parts after receiving and store properly.
• Ships with FedEx, Old Dominion, and UPS.
• Ship SO’s, truck bodies, chassis, and parts to customers.
• Handle time-sensitive shipments.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Shipper and Receiver to deliver the exceptional service experience. Our goal at Wabash is to drive customer and employee success while maintaining our Customer Satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer of stainless-steel equipment serving all industries used by all consumers, while working closely with a close-knit team to plan and accomplish all goals.

Pull, pack and label parts for shipment (includes boxing parts and building wood crates for shipping). Coordinate prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork. Operate forklift to pull material from different plants. Load LTL semi-trailers using a forklift. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Basic computer and typing skills
• AS400 experience is a plus
• Forklift experience is a must
• Excellent communications, customer service and organizational skills, works directly with the customers and outbound services.
• Familiar with Federal Express software systemsli>
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent relevant experience
• Basicmath skills for inventory reporting
• Be able to pass a DOT physical
• Drive non CDL work trucks- 26000 pounds and below within 25 miles
