Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Midland, MI seeks a Shipper/Receiver to manage shipping, receiving, and material handling, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities

• Execute shipping, receiving, labeling, packaging, and material handling to meet daily customer requirements.
• Process inbound receipts and outbound shipments in SAP on the same day deliveries occur.
• Prepare, stage, and verify materials using schedules, POs, stock transfer reports, and pick lists.
• Provide accurate shipment documentation (Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis, packing slips, SDS, invoices).
• Safely operate forklifts and related material handling equipment.
• Load and unload bulk tankers and overseas containers using approved procedures.
• Receive returned products, coordinate quarantine staging, and document issues via SAP.
• Maintain accurate records, support 5S and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Comply with Responsible Care Management System, ISO 9001, and safety/environment procedures.

How You’ll Make An Impact

As a Shipper/Receiver, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring raw materials and finished goods move safely, accurately, and efficiently to support customer demand. You'll collaborate with logistics, production, and supply chain teams to coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.

In This Role, You Will

• Execute shipping, receiving, labeling, packaging, and material handling activities to meet daily customer requirements.

• Prepare, stage, and verify materials using delivery schedules, purchase orders, stock transfer reports, and pick lists.
• Provide accurate shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis, packing slips, Safety Data Sheets, and invoices when required.
• Safely operate forklifts and related material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Load and unload bulk tankers and overseas containers using approved loading patterns and procedures.
• Receive returned products, coordinate quarantine staging, and document quality or delivery issues through Supplier Corrective Action Requests in SAP.
• Maintain accurate records, support 5S housekeeping standards, and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
• Comply with Responsible Care Management System, ISO 9001 requirements, and all health, safety, security, environmental, and operating procedures.

Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical material handling activities, including lifting up to 70 pounds and moving drums with proper equipment.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and shipment documentation.
• Experience working safely in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications That Drive You Forward

• Previous forklift and/or scissor lift operating experience.
• Knowledge of chemical products, chemical hazards, and safe material handling practices.
• Experience using SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
• Knowledge of pumping systems, tank operations, and filtration equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter in a team-based environment.
• Experience loading international shipping containers and handling bulk tanker operations.
