Job summary

Guardian Electric Manufacturing Co. in Angola, Indiana, is seeking a Shipping/Production Support teammate to join our operations team.

You will work with Customer Service, Operations and Quality to move product, ship orders and support production workflows. Responsibilities include assisting in shipping and receiving, packaging, labeling, loading trucks, and participating in light production activities while upholding safety standards and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• PPE/LOTO required and OSHA rules understood.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Forklift/reach-truck/scissor lift certification required.
• Reliable transportation to and from site.
• Familiarity with Quality Management System policies.

Responsibilities

• Move product to the next destination in the production process.
• Prepare products for shipment by packaging, labeling and coordinating with truck lines.
• Receive and distribute MRO supplies and basic materials.
• Perform light production tasks as needed to support operations.
• Assist in quality efforts by basic measurement and sorting of parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

Job Summary

Working with Customer Service, Operations and the Quality Departments, this employee will be involved in various duties that would include, but are not limited to, shipping, receiving, material handling, moving product from one area to the next, and working in operations to produce products.

Essential Functions

• Moving product to its next destination with the production process, as needed.
• Prepare products to be shipped out, by packaging, scaling, labeling, and calling truck lines, when needed, for pick-ups.
• Receive and distribute Maintenance, Repair and Operation Supplies (MROs)
• Light operations in production process, as needed.
• Helping with assuring quality standards by measuring and sorting parts, as needed.
• Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Department Manager.

Required Skills

• Use of Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and knowledge of Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) if required.
• Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Maintain good attendance and able to work weekends and overtime, as needed.
• Obtain company certification for use of Forklift, reach-truck, scissor lift.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System policies, goals and objectives.
