hapco is seeking a warehouse associate to support receiving, inventory control, and shipping operations in Minnesota. Responsibilities include handling materials, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate records in CSI systems.
You will work under supervision and help train teammates in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have strong computer skills, prior experience in a warehouse setting, and the ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Perform various manual and automated job functions, computer transactions (including picking orders, preparing BOL’s, substitutions in CSI, and all other CSI workflow transactions to support orders being released to production) and clerical duties in the stocking, modification and shipment of company product. Receiving materials and/or finished goods from several sources. Record incoming materials, accurately check and maintain material and/or inventory levels and manage inventory to ensure proper stocking locations. Check shipments against shipping documents and instructions. Locate and transport finished good shipments to proper location for shipping via truck. Prepare and maintain specific shipping, receiving, inventory and stock records for accurate adjustments manually and electronically. Act as an extension of the department supervisor and/or manager to ensure an efficient, accurate and productive flow of job functions, processes, receipts and shipments.

High school education or GED equivalent required as a minimum for all Hapco positions. The ability to effectively and professionally communicate daily with management, peers, vendors, customers, sales, customer service, purchasing and production control required. Three years of experience as a lead person preferred. Proficient with basic computer skills, e‑mail, data entry and inventory control systems and procedures. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
The employee in this position must possess the ability to communicate effectively one‑on‑one or in group situations with customers, suppliers, contractors, executive staff members and co‑workers; utilizing methods to include but not limited to verbal/written presentations or conversations plus telephone and email communications.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and perform trigonometric and geometric calculations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding while carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form plus the ability to create and interpret documents correctly. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for the entire shift. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Proper lifting techniques required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving machining equipment, moving mechanical parts, dirt, oil, grease, metal shavings, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. In general, the noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud with exposures ranging from 80db to more than 100db, at certain times.
Specified safety equipment should be always used while operating equipment and, as mandated, while performing tasks.
