Job summary

The Olive Press is seeking a Shipping & Packaging Assistant to oversee hands-on warehouse duties, order fulfillment, shipping, and logistics. You will pack and ship domestic orders, assist with inventory, transfers, and daily warehouse operations, while staying detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong organizational skills, safety awareness, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• 1–2 years of shipping, warehouse, order fulfillment, or logistics experience.
• Experience with UPS shipping systems.
• Forklift experience and/or certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, label, and prepare domestic orders for shipment (Club, e-commerce, tasting room, wholesale).
• Process shipments through UPS and other shipping systems.
• Verify order contents, quantities, shipping information, and packaging prior to shipment.
• Package products to minimize damage during transit.
• Assist with shipping issues, order discrepancies, and returns.
• Maintain an organized and efficient packing and shipping area.
• Communicate with internal teams regarding orders and fulfillment needs.
• Provide customer support by phone and email about orders and returns.
