Job summary

Trident-Solutions is seeking an Order Puller for the 2nd shift at our Pecan Street Warehouse. You will pull orders from inventory, prep for transit, and load them onto freight carriers, using forklifts and a scan gun.

This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork; you will perform quality checks on labels, update inventory, and support shipping operations while maintaining a clean, safety-conscious workspace.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate all types of forklifts and move pallets in racking.
  • Pull customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform final quality checks on labels and packaging.
  • Load, shrink-wrap, and band shipments.
  • Process shipments using the scan gun system.
  • Load/unload trucks and transfer products within the warehouse.
  • Perform inventory verifications as needed for Sales.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report issues.

Job description

Title: Order Puller Ground & TruckFunctional Area: Pecan Street Warehouse (PWH)Schedule: 2nd ShiftReports to: Shipping & Warehouse ManagerPosition Description: The primary purpose of the position is the pulling of orders from warehouse inventory locations, preparing them for transit, and loading them on freight carriers.Order Puller Responsibilities:Essential Job Functions:Operate all types of forklifts; stand-up, sit down, and order pickers. Move pallets of product from lower to upper tiers of racking.Pull customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.Performs the final quality check for labels and packaging on finished product.Load, adjust and operate shrink-wrap and banding machine.Process shipments into operator scan gun system.Load and unload trucksReceive and pick-up product from production.Transfer finished product from Production to the proper locations in the warehouse.Perform inventory verification on products for the Sales Department at their request.Label shipments to be picked up.Update inventory system information via scan gun as physical inventory movements occur.Key Competencies:Performing all job functions in a safe manner, follow and enforce all TRIDENT policies and procedures.Leading housekeeping efforts and always maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all departments.Accurate and complete reporting of production and quality data both manually and in computer systems.Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.Preferred Requirements:Excellent safety and attendance record.Possesses excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work any hours as needed for business success.Possesses strong communication skills both written and verbal.Possesses basic knowledge in math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.Possesses basic computer skills.Ability to balance and achieve results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost ReductionMust have the ability to complete two or more tasks simultaneously.Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision and maintain a working and up-to-date knowledge of products and services.Must be able to handle self in a professional manner with co-workers and supervisors.Ability to take responsibility for self and team.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Must be able to continually bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulder, use arms, wrists, grasp and squeeze with hands, access constricted spaces, and lift and carry up to 75 lbs.Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to dusty or dirty ambient conditions.Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to hot or cold ambient conditions.Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to mild chemical irritants.Training:Training would be a mixture of online training on safety, quality, and production procedures along with on-the-job training conducted by an experienced Order Picker.Additional training would be provided as needed by the Shipping & Warehouse Manager.Training duration would normally be 1 month.
