Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in manufacturing; six months in Hexcel Casa Grande may substitute.
• Proficient in use of tape measure and ruler.
• Basic working knowledge of computer data entry.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply algebra/geometry concepts.

Responsibilities

• Packages finished product in compliance with specifications; makes crates, pallets, and boxes.
• Determines if product should be palleted or crated.
• Uses due date list to select items to pack; follows sales orders.
• Verifies quantities and dimensions; signs off by production.
• Moves material with forklift; uses tools to construct boxes and crates.
• Orders lumber and packing materials; reads routers and packaging docs.
• Logs test pieces and sales orders into computer; prints labels.
• Ensures packaging meets customer specs and expectations.
