Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in shipping or heavy machinery is a plus.
• Ability to read shipping documentation and measurements.
• Strong safety awareness for yourself and others.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts or heavy equipment; certification is a plus.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Distribution, fabrication, manufacturing or construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and safely align products for shipment.
• Operate forklifts, hoist, and other equipment safely.
• Verify shipment accuracy by reviewing PO's, Bills of Lading, and shipping documents.
• Verify and secure loads for safe transport.
• Inspect products for quality and correct quantities destined for the right location.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet shipping schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain clean and organized shipping yard and area.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company policies.
• Partner with other departments to improve processes and ensure product accuracy.
