Job summary

Cengage Learning Inc. is seeking a Shipping Clerk to manage domestic and international shipments in the shipping department. The role requires safe PIT operation, accurate paperwork, and responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

You will multitask across duties, learn multiple functions within the Shipping department, and contribute to efficient distribution and record-keeping while maintaining professional conduct and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Excellent interpersonal, telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Must be flexible and a strong team player.
• Demonstrate technical skills appropriate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ship products accurately and efficiently, domestic and international.
• Safely operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) as required.
• Provide accurate responses to internal and external inquiries.
• Maintain accurate work records and paperwork flow.
• Run reports and resolve distribution issues.
• Learn and adapt to different functions within Shipping.
• Stage cartons and ensure proper routing and sign-off of shipments.
