Builders FirstSource is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to coordinate and oversee all shipping activities at our Dallas-area facility. The role ensures accuracy and condition of shipments, schedules customer deliveries, and endorses safe, efficient operations.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED and prior shipping experience. Strong organizational and supervisory abilities are essential for managing drivers and handling paperwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience - High School diploma or equivalent GED; Previous experience in shipping department required.
• Language Skills - ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information to vendors and employees.
• Mathematical Skills - requires basic math skills.
• Reasoning Ability - apply common sense to carry out written or verbal instructions; handle problems with concrete variables.
• Computer Skills - None.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - None required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Schedules deliveries with customers.
• Studies inventory to identify products to ship.
• Scans transfer tickets.
• Processes incoming and outgoing delivery driver paperwork.
• Manages multiple drivers and pullers.
• Ensures a safe and clean work place.
• Other duties may be assigned.
