Job summary

Case Farms, LLC is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support daily operations in the Shipping office. The role involves maintaining manifest logs, preparing bills of lading, coordinating USDA paperwork, and handling incoming calls from drivers and internal teams.

The candidate should have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and be able to train others. Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel is expected. This is an in-office, full-time position in Canton, OH.

Qualifications

• Must have effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the ability to train others.
• Basic understanding of the shipping process.
• Maintain inventory controls for proper rotation of products (age, returns, damaged containers).
• Communicate with CFS when issues arise with the scanning system or inventory program.
• Assist in training other employees assigned to the shipping area.
• Familiar with MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to Shipping Supervisor.
• Maintains the Manifest logs, and keeps trailer information up to date.
• Complete paperwork for USDA-certified loads (Kill Certificates).
• Prepares bills of lading for outgoing trucks.
• Handles Phone system in the Shipping office, taking calls from truck drivers, sales department, customers, plant operations, etc.
• Performs Data Entry of shipping information into system.
• Handles various office and administrative duties.
• May be assigned various other duties or projects as needed.
