Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems- Heavy Equipment Group in Norway, MI is seeking a Material Specialist on first shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday). You will independently run shipping and receiving, train teammates, and help the department meet safety, quality, and cost goals while maintaining accurate inventory in the ERP system.

The role requires operating forklifts and rigging gear safely, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting design and production through reliable material

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of supply chain processes.
• Experience driving a forklift is a strong plus.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers, Windows navigation, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read blueprints, apply math, and use measuring devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, cranes, and rigging equipment safely.
• Move materials between internal and external operations.
• Kit jobs per instructions and perform accurate inventory transactions.
• Package outgoing shipments and ensure material preservation/identification.
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently.
• Generate and process paperwork for shipments.
• Mentor and assist entry-level personnel in shipping/receiving.
• Reconcile and correct inventory counts in ERP systems.
• Schedule shipments with carriers and communicate with internal teams.
