Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership in Milan, OH is seeking a Shipping Material Technician on the 2nd shift. You will operate material handling equipment, follow FIFO methods, and ensure accurate loading, shipping, and inventory control.

The role requires high school completion, basic computer skills, and strong communication abilities. You will maintain a clean work area, follow SOPs, and coordinate with the supervisor to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely processing of orders and

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent certificate.
• Working knowledge of a computer and its general use to accomplish basic transactions.
• Understanding of FIFO and stock location integrity.
• Able to read shipping instructions and production orders, and to use scales and label printers.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Commitment to quality, service and reliability with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using FIFO methods to designated areas.

• Perform daily computer transactions and coordinate with supervisor.

Shipping Material Technician FT - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment and complete Forklift Operators’ Daily Checklist as necessary.
• Convey materials from storage or worksites to designated areas using FIFO methods.
• Identifies and/or initiates appropriate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process, and quality system either directly or by recommendation through designated channels.
• Controls further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency of unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area/zone using sound housekeeping methods.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions applicable to the appropriate job assignment.
• Read ship lists and follow oral and written communications regarding loading and unloading/proper movement or placement of materials or containers in the proper manner and quantity.
• Perform daily computer transactions.
• Coordinate activities with the supervisor to ensure smooth operation of all warehouse related activities.
• Pick material/stock and process shipping orders/returns of surplus stock, while maintaining stock location integrity.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent certificate.
• Working knowledge of a computer and its general use to accomplish basic transactions.
• Understanding of FIFO and stock location integrity.
• Able to read shipping instructions and production orders, and to accurately use weigh counting scales, label printers, and miscellaneous clerical supplies.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Possess good communication skills.
