Job summary

Miller Industries is seeking reliable individuals to join our team in the shipping department. You will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and basic data entry skills; forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred. We offer a climate controlled environment, 4/10s, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Intermediate data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Read and understand shipping schedule.
• Retrieve frames from outside using a forklift.
• Grind and paint the underside of carrier bodies.
• Assemble body and frame together.
• Move carrier bodies using a manual push cart.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane to move or hoist shipments.
• Identify quality issues before product is shipped.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Assist in the shipping department as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards.
