Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division seeks a Shipping Material Handler for first shift in Sherman, TX. Core hours are 6:00 am–2:30 pm, with a pay rate of $22.71 per hour. Responsibilities include unloading/loading raw materials, operating forklifts, palletizing, and maintaining safe material flow.

You will perform 5S activities and assist with continuous improvement while working overtime as needed to meet production demand. A valid driver’s license and forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load raw materials from trucks to maintain smooth flow of product.
• Move raw materials safely and palletize/stack materials as needed.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment; assist with spotter duties when required.
• Store, space, deliver materials and dispose of scrap.
• Perform 5S and continuous improvement activities; support other duties as assigned.

The rate for this position is $22.71 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Responsible for unloading and loading raw material from trucks and/or other departments to keep flow of product smooth and efficient.Move raw material in a safe manner and dispose of scrap.Operate forklifts.Store, space, and deliver materials or products.Stack pallets and arrange materials.May be required to palletize and secure material as needed.Receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.Use the spotter truck to move flatbed and dry van trailers as needed or required.Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Basic (Required) Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.Valid state issued driver’s license required.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
