Job summary

Sargent Metal Fabricators in Anderson, SC is seeking a Shipping Material Handler to support manufacturing and shipping operations. You will safely move pallets, wrap and label shipments, stage orders, and load goods onto trucks while ensuring accurate records and timely movement.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with an hourly, non-exempt classification and a 1st shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 6am–4:30pm). Training on ERP/shipping systems is provided.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years forklift operating experience required.
• Shipping or warehouse distribution experience preferred.
• Able to successfully pass the company’s forklift certification test.
• Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely move pallets of parts, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the production and shipping areas.
• Wrap, package, and label pallets and finished goods for shipment in accordance with company and customer requirements.
• Stage completed orders in designated shipping lanes according to shipping schedules.
• Load finished goods onto customer trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Support production and shipping schedules by ensuring timely material movement.
• Process shipping documentation, bills of sale, and transactions within the company ERP system.
• Maintain accurate records related to shipments and material movement.
• Assist production teams as needed to support workflow and meet productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with 5S standards.
• Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture.
