Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a warehouse/shipping associate in Monticello, IA. You will operate forklifts and support shipping, receiving, picking, staging, and loading of materials and finished goods with RF scanning and an ERP system.

The role requires at least 2 years of forklift experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and benefit from a robust full-time package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years forklift operating experience or related material handling.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
• Walk/stand for long durations during shift.
• Vision abilities including depth and color differentiation.
• Fine manipulation with hands and fingers.

Job Description

Base Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm - Monday through Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate designated machinery, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to support shipping, warehouse, and manufacturing operations.
• Receive, collect, move, store, pick, stage, load, and ship materials and finished products in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment by picking, wrapping, staging, consolidating, and loading materials onto outbound delivery trucks.
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment and the company’s ERP system to accurately scan, track, process, and document materials and inventory transactions.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including cycle counts, inventory verification, daily system updates, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Consolidate partial pallets of incoming materials and organize products to maximize storage space and improve material handling efficiency.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools, and equipment for accuracy, quality, damage, and proper operating condition.
• Monitor materials throughout the shipping process to ensure orders are completed accurately, on time, and without damage.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs, equipment damage, or unsafe operating conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Support the movement of inventory between workstations, storage locations, shipping areas, and other designated work areas.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workflow to meet customer requirements, production schedules, and shipping deadlines.
• Identify and report workplace hazards, follow established safety procedures, and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Provide responsive and efficient support to coworkers, internal customers, and external customers to meet operational requirements.
• Follow established company policies, standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and customer service standards.
• Perform additional shipping, machine operation, warehouse, and manufacturing support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience or combination of forklift experience and material handling work highly preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to walk/stand for long durations (duration of shift excluding breaks).
• Vision abilities to include close, distance, peripheral, color and depth differentiation
• Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation
• Ability to perform specific tasks that involve climbing and kneeling
• Frequent exposure to dust and debris from the production process
• Frequent exposure to loud noises
