Job summary

Oetiker, a leader in automotive and industrial connections, seeks a shipping clerk to manage order fulfillment and shipping documentation from its Michigan facility. The role involves packing, scheduling shipments, and preparing customs paperwork for daily operations.

The incumbent will collaborate with logistics teams and use UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and MS Office tools to maintain accurate records and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year logistics and/or supply chain experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, and pallet wrapper.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds throughout the day.
• Basic computer skills, including scanning equipment.
• Math skills, reading comprehension, and effective communication.
• Proficiency with UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and ship customer orders per customer requirements.
• Schedule small package shipments using UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager software.
• Prepare and schedule palletized shipments.
• Load and unload LTL/FTL trucks.
• Prepare all necessary customer and Oetiker paperwork to support daily shipments including packing lists, bills of lading, USMCA certificates, proforma invoices, and Shipper’s Export Declarations.
• Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts as necessary.
