Job summary

MMI Engineered Solutions in Saline, MI is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. You will manage shipping activities, maintain shipment records, and support loading and unloading trucks to ensure on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3–5 years shipping/receiving experience, forklift experience, and strong organizational skills. The role requires hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
• Clear communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Communicate shipment priorities and status between Clerks and Shippers.
• Manage shipment of all products and materials, including scheduling and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Send Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN) to customers.
• Ensure FIFO practices for all outgoing finished goods.
• Track, trace, and update shipment status.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift as needed.
• Keep shipping area clean, organized, and safe.
• Support urgent orders to ensure shipments depart within 24 hours.
• Prevent shipments that do not meet quality standards.
