Job summary

MacLean Power Systems in Bessemer, Alabama, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to process outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years shipping experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years experience with LTL and full truckloads/flatbeds
• 1-2 years of shipping in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience and/or certification required (or ability to certify upon hire).
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems (such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, JDE or similar).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse work.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outbound shipments with freight broker
• Schedule outbound shipments using TMS system
• Invoice (ship) orders in ERP system
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas, racks, and shipping lanes.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Use ERP systems for tracking inventory movements.
