Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager for a well-established food manufacturing operation in Milwaukee, WI. Lead inbound and outbound shipping and receiving, manage inventory and traceability, and ensure adherence to food safety and regulatory standards.

You will develop supervisors, optimize labor and costs, and partner with Production, Procurement, and Quality to meet business objectives in a high-volume facility.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years in shipping/receiving, warehousing, or inventory with leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing, food safety, HACCP; familiarity with FDA/USDA/OSHA/EPA regulations preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP/MRP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient execution.
• Manage inventory levels, FIFO rotation, and product traceability across on-site and off-site storage locations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, temperature control, and documentation requirements.
• Lead and develop supervisors and team members, fostering safety, accountability, and engagement.
• Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and operational costs while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to coordinate material needs and resolve operational issues.
