Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of intensive forklift experience in a fast-paced industrial warehouse, shipping dock, manufacturing facility, or similar environment.
• Must successfully pass an on-site forklift evaluation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required.
• Strong basic math, reading comprehension, and attention to detail to accurately verify product codes, weights, and shipping paperwork under time constraints.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Active TWIC Card highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage shift workflow, prioritize work, resolve logistics issues, and make sound operational decisions when supervisors are off-site.
• Safely operate heavy industrial forklifts to load dry vans and flatbeds with super sacks and palletized 50-pound mineral bags.
• Assist with bulk truck and industrial railcar loading operations.
• Place, balance, and secure loads to meet legal DOT axle-weight distribution requirements and rail transport requirements.
• Verify bills of lading, shipping documents, packing slips, product codes, weights, and physical cargo before shipment; maintain inventory integrity, accurate outbound documentation, and a zero-error standard.
• Coordinate with external drivers, loading sequences, dock traffic, and weight or staging adjustments.
• Inspect outgoing pallets, packaging, and products for defects, damage, or compromised material.
• Maintain a clean, organized, debris-free warehouse, dock, and loading area while following all safety procedures and supporting a zero-incident safety culture.

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Loader for a high-volume industrial manufacturing site in Theodore, AL. This position supports a continuous, around-the-clock operation and requires a self-motivated professional who can independently manage priorities, solve real-time logistics issues, and make sound, safety-focused decisions with limited supervision.

Schedule: Must be able to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Rotation: This position follows a continuous rotating schedule:

7:00 AM–3:00 PM: 7 days on / 3 days off

11:00 PM–7:00 AM: 7 days on / 2 days off

3:00 PM–11:00 PM: 7 days on / 2 days off
