Shipping & Logistics Loader (24/7 Rotating Shifts)

Location: Theodore, AL (In-Person)
Reports To: Director of Fulfillment Operations
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 / hour (Starting rate based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Rotating Shifts (Must have full flexibility for Day, Night, 8-hour, and 12-hour rotations, including weekends)

About the Role

At INCOA Performance Minerals, our logistics team is the final, critical link between our manufacturing process and our industrial partners. We are seeking a highly skilled, adaptable Shipping & Logistics Loader to join our lean, high-volume fulfillment team.

Because we operate a continuous around-the-clock schedule, this role demands a high level of personal accountability. We need a self-motivated professional who can work completely independently and make sound, confident operational decisions alone on a shift without constant supervision.

This is a dynamic position operating in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment—including managing the South Alabama summer heat and manufacturing dust. It is ideal for an industrial professional who thrives on autonomy, enjoys active work, and takes pride in operational excellence. As a growing company, we offer a stable career path with clear advancement opportunities as we hit our expansion milestones.

Full Benefits Package
  • Healthcare: Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Income Protection: Short-Term and Long-Term Disability + Company-paid Life Insurance
  • Retirement: 401(k) with competitive company matching
  • Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid corporate holidays
  • Growth: Built-in advancement pipelines as our startup footprint expands
What You’ll Do (Essential Duties)
  • Autonomous Shift Operations: Independently manage your workflow during your shift, proactively identifying tasks, solving real-time logistics problems, and making sound operational choices when supervisors are off-site.
  • Multi-Modal Loading Operations: Safely and efficiently operate heavy industrial forklifts to load dry vans and flatbeds with super sacks and palletized 50 lb mineral bags. Assist with bulk truck and industrial railcar loading operations.
  • Precision Weight Distribution: Ensure all loads are strategically placed, balanced, and secured to meet exact legal axle-weight distribution requirements for legal DOT and rail transport.
  • Documentation & Inventory Integrity: Thoroughly verify bills of lading (BOL), shipping documents, and packing slips against the physical cargo before departure. Maintain a zero-error standard for outbound shipments.
  • Driver & Logistics Coordination: Act as a professional on-site contact for external transport drivers. Coordinate loading sequences, manage active dock traffic, and resolve weight or staging adjustments efficiently.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Inspect all outgoing pallets and packaging for structural defects or compromised product. Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free warehouse and loading zone to support our zero-incident safety culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Independence & Initiative: Highly self-motivated with a proven ability to work productively alone on a shift, maintain focus without direct supervision, and make reliable, safety-minded decisions under pressure.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Full, uncompromised commitment to a rotating schedule that cycles through day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and mandatory overtime as production demands require.
  • Material Handling Expertise: Minimum of 1–2 years of intensive forklift experience within a fast-paced industrial warehouse, shipping dock, or manufacturing facility. Candidates must successfully pass an on-site forklift evaluation.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs, work comfortably in an outdoor/non-climate-controlled environment, and stand, climb, or bend for extended periods in an industrial setting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong basic mathematical skills and reading comprehension to quickly verify product codes, weights, and logistics paperwork under time constraints.
Credentials

High School Diploma or GED required. A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required. An active TWIC Card is highly preferred.
