Job summary

Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, seeks an experienced Shipping Manager for the Gainesville, TX site to oversee logistics and supply chain processes supporting our products and accessories.

You will lead a team, manage inventory (on-hand and enroute), and drive lean improvements while ensuring on-time delivery and cost optimization. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP Shipping Module preferred) and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in management/supervisory roles in shipping/warehousing/inventory control.
• 4+ years in supply chain/logistics within a manufacturing setting.
• Experience implementing a visual Kanban system for raw material inventory and coordinating with production schedules.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP Shipping Module preferred.
• Lean manufacturing mindset with ISO, 5S, TQM, Q12 experience; data-driven corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and report operational KPIs; manage cycle counts and maintain on-hand and enroute inventory.
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team focused on quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement projects (e.g., reel return process) and prioritize safety.
• Meet key metrics: productivity, scrap, labor/material utilization, On-Time Delivery, and reduce customer complaints.
• Develop programs, execute best practices, monitor stock, coordinate with vendors, and work with account teams on order management to meet deliveries.
