Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or industrial management or equivalent experience
• Five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a job shop
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong knowledge of logistics, transportation and customs regulations
• Experience with business system software and Microsoft Office
• Lean manufacturing concepts and process improvement mindset; hands-on approach; shift work and travel required

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping process, including order fulfillment, packaging, and transportation.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to optimize routes and costs.
• Maintain shipping schedules to meet customer deadlines and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Supervise shop floor staff and communicate with Operations Manager.
• Investigate shipping discrepancies and customer complaints promptly.
• Track shipping costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining service quality.
• Implement best practices and process improvements in the shipping department.
• Ensure data entry accuracy in the business system and report on shipping performance.
