Job summary

Butterball, based in North Carolina, seeks a Logistics Clerk responsible for reporting and tracking transportation documents, monitoring inventory in freezers and coolers, and coordinating with drivers, brokers, carriers, and customers. This role supports timely and accurate paperwork and load planning across Butterball’s logistics network.

You will maintain shipping files, assign seals to trailers, and ensure inventory accuracy while communicating proactively with internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to learn and use ERP systems (CAT2, SAP, AS400) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records, shipping documents, and logs such as delivery notes and invoices.
• Prepare labels for customer orders and load documentation.
• Coordinate with brokers, drivers, and customers to ensure paperwork accuracy.
• Manage dock schedules and interplant load planning.
• Verify inventory in freezers/coolers and monitor shipments.
• Print pick lists and determine order details using AS400, SAP, and CAT2.
• Resolve routine issues using established procedures.
