Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, stocking, and shipping operations in our Ohio facility. You will verify documents, move goods, and prepare shipments while maintaining accurate inventory.

The role requires good organizational skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a teamwork mindset. Prior shipping/receiving experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items outgoing or incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing slips, address labels and other records.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes incoming items to correct departments.
• Packages items in appropriate containers. Affixes labels and shipping instructions onto containers.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates equipment to move, convey, or hoist shipments between shipping/receiving area and storage or work areas.
• Coordinates with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
• Ensures timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments.
• Follows all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Reports any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
