Oldcastlebuildingenvelope in Perrysburg, Ohio is hiring a Loader/Unloader I to manage the movement of materials including glass and/or metal throughout the plant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and reliability, working within a dynamic Shipping Department.

Responsibilities include the on/off-loading of products, preparing orders for delivery, and ensuring that all products are properly labeled. The position may require lifting heavy items and working extended hours on a concrete floor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to prioritize work with deadlines and work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours on a concrete floor.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Loader/Unloader I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. To include on/off‑loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Shipping Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

• On/off‑loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Preparing orders for delivery (organizing, securing glass for transport)
• Perform work as assigned by Supervisor
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure

What We Are Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required
• Work performed inside a production environment
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor
• Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high
• The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
