Job summary

American Buildings, a Nucor division, is seeking a Shipping Loader in El Paso, IL. This full-time role operates 6pm–6am, three or four days per week, loading materials for shipment and learning to drive the spot truck. You will ensure proper load security and weight distribution.

Candidates must handle 60 lb loads, work outdoors, and read shippers/part numbers. Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer systems is required. Safety is the top priority.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 60lbs.
• Ability to operate computer systems and use Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Work outside in varied weather conditions.
• Read shippers and part numbers and use shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect and load materials for shipment using a Bill of Materials or Shipper and SICM.
• Check off materials from shipper to ensure correct loading on the correct trailer.
• Direct and assist in loading materials onto trailers with proper weight distribution.
• Ensure materials are securely loaded, boxed and tied down as necessary.
• Learn to drive the spot truck and maneuver trailers in the yard.
