Job summary

Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Shipping Loader to move glass between tables, furnaces, rolling racks, and delivery trucks. The role runs on the day shift variations with a 3pm to 12am schedule and includes a $18 per hour base pay plus a $1.50 shift premium.

Benefits start on day one and bonus opportunities are offered. Ideal candidates are at least 18, able to read labels and measurements, and comfortable with a tape measure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Able to read and interpret labels and paperwork
• Able to read basic measurements with a tape measure
• Able to work in all areas of production
• Flexible Monday–Friday with possible weekends

Responsibilities

• Move glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks or delivery trucks for eight hours daily
• Transport materials to expedite production
• Read and attach labels/tags to product
• Perform quality inspection and operate or maneuver equipment
• Understand facility layout to maintain product flow
• Rotate between different job functions as needed
• Inspect for abnormalities and report issues to supervisor
• Maintain safe, clean work area
• Attend work regularly and follow safety policies

Who You Are:

What You Will Be Doing:

• Move glass from, tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another to expedite the production process.
• Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to product
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
• Understand layout of the facility to ensure proper product flow
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues (fabrication issues, logo placement, etc.)
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure
• All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
• Flexible work availability (typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekends)
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, preferred.
