Responsibilities

  • Load windows for shipment when trailers are available.
  • Ensure correct shipment of windows and accuracy of paperwork.
  • Scan items before loading and ensure proper blocking for secure transit.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the shipping floor and comply with safety policies.
  • Report damaged items immediately and follow supervisor guidance.
  • Assist with loading/unloading as needed and follow shipper documentation.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The loader is responsible forensuring trucks are loaded correctly in a timely manner.Making sure all items (windows) are properly scanned before loading into thetruck.This position requiresaccuracy in loading and complying with shipper documentation.The loaderfollows warehouse instructions in building loads, limiting alldamageif possible. Making sure that all windows are loaded complete and well blocked for securing during transit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Comply withWestlakeSafety Policies
  • Regular attendance,timeliness,and scheduling flexibility
  • Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture.
  • Load windows for shipment when trailers are available.
  • Track and load product on paperwork while loading and insuring correct shipment of windows.
  • Report any damaged window to the Supervisor or Lead immediately.
  • Perform work ina safeand timely manner.
  • Ensuretruck trailers are checked before loading or unloading.
  • Maintain housekeeping of shipping floor.
  • Strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks.
  • Manually lift and move the window to the belonging truck.
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,AND ABILITIES
  • Basic skills such as inspection, math and reading.

EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma orequivalent (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing/Warehouse1 year (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out.
  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels thatmay beuncomfortable.
  • Prolong standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.
  • Complete repetitive movements.
  • Bend or twist.
  • Wear allthe requiredpersonal protective equipment.
  • Work in constant noise above 85 decibels.
  • Handle, control or feel objects,tools,or controls.
  • Lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ascend or descend stairs.
